The winter of 2018-19 was a time for Yash and Rocky Bhai. The tall, handsome star's casual dialogues in the film KGF Chapter 1 were all the rage on social media, and it was a moment that defined pop culture in Indian cinematic history. We were not expecting anything less. Prior to the launch of KGF: Chapter 1 there was an enormous buzz surrounding the film that was the most expensive Kannada film ever made and was released in over 1,800 theatres.

KGF Chapter 1 delivered big time and was made into a massive blockbuster. The film was a visually appealing masala entertainerwith thrilling action scenes, great dialogues coupled with Yash's charisma. All together turned out to be an incredible experience for all fans.

While critics differed in their opinions about the film, fans embraced Rocky Bhai and Yash went on to become a pan-Indian star.

WHAT WAS KGF: CHAPTER 1 ALL ABOUT?

KGF Chapter 1 is a non-linear story as the author of the prohibited book (Anand) narrates his story about Rocky Bhai to a television channel editor. An ambitious Rocky is introduced as a 10-year-old boy in Mumbai that is haunted by the memories of his mother's final wish was that he achieve wealth by any means. As he matures and becomes more influential, so does his power within his place in the Bombay underworld. He is given a task by the man who controls the Bombay underworld to thwart the powerful gold mafia Survyavardhan's son Garuda who is the apparent heir of the whole gold smuggling business and is in kgf full form (KOLAR GOLD FIELDS). Kolar Gold Fields is a mining region in K.G.F. taluk, Kolar district, Karnataka.

Rocky accepts the mission, but after he gets to know about the money and power involved in KGF operations and the KGF's operations, greed is unleashed. He disguises himself as an employee and is able to enter the goldfields however, he's captivated to despair by the situation of miners and chooses to fight for them.While he does succeed in his task, killing Garuda and capturing Garuda, his new function as the messiah miners is shown in this dazzling visual extravaganzawith multiple thrilling whistle-worthy moments.

ROCKY - THE UNDERDOG HERO

Yash was a great Rocky Bhai and his toned physique was convincing that he could beat up 100 people. The over-the-top action scenes were integrated in well with the story and were extremely entertaining. His initial nonchalance and later sympathy for the laborers who are struggling is a favorite among fans.

WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT FROM KGF: CHAPTER 2?

KGF Chapter 2 is likely to show how he builds the KGF empire while climbing to the top. The female protagonist, Srinidhi Shetty as Reena was given a very small screen time since Rocky Bhai's "macho" element proved to be an integral USP in the initial instalment. As the film gains more star-power, likely to be in the next instalment, Reena will have to battle to get screentime. But, be prepared for plenty of surprises.

There's also a bit of mystery surrounding the Rocky's story in KGF Chapter 1, which could be addressed in the second part for shocking revelations. The first film fails to clarify how the author came to know about Rocky's story or the reason why this Government of India had to ban his book. KGF: Chapter 2 could be a clue to the connection between Anand the author and Rocky.

In KGF: Chapter 1, the gold mafia leader Suryavardhan's brother Aadheera had not yet staked claim on the throne, as he was ready to become a commanding officer to his nephew. In the wake of Rocky Bhai has killed Garuda, Aadheera is likely to assert his claim and be challenged by Rocky.

Sanjay Dutt as Adheera pitted against Yash as Rocky Bhai will be a joy for fans. Raveena Tandon in the role as Prime Premier Ramika Sen is also said to be portraying a very distinct character, with shades of grey.
